Hi all,
I bought my new Nokia 5800XM Red from a online store (located in France) two weeks ago and found yesterday that there's the new 40.0.005 Firmware available.
The NSU though told me that there's no new Update available after the v3x (don't sure which one it was) which I updated a week ago.
Now, I know that branded phones are usually not eligible for the updates as their operators want to customize the software first or just don't care.
But this phone is totally brand- and operator free, I paid 180€ to have a free phone that I can use everywhere with any SIM card.
It's a
Model: 5800d-1
Type: RM-356
Product CODE: 0578174
According to some lists I found online it's a
5800 RM-356 France CV R (anyhow, can someone tell me what the CV stands for?)
So, my question is why the hack it is not possible for me to update my vanilla 5800XM with the new software two weeks after its release, which actually would bring a lot of improvements to my phone?
