NSUing v20 for N96, but it still said that v12.043 is current version

Today, v20 is still not found on product code 0573063, this product code is UK CV DG, unbranded, sim-free,

 

Now, I just want to know one thing from NOKIA, when is the day the v20 will released for this product code?

the truth is nobody really knows, really soon i hope. if the phone is unlocked/unbranded then i suggest keep on checking nsu or fota frequently. product code updates are released in waves not all at the same time. tho it is strange that you are unable to update your phone as this  update has been around for a moment.

Most updates for N96 are released via FOTA.

as grschinon said i would check FOTA. Sometimes on NSU they take the latest firmare off.

 

do keep in mind FOTA is a lot more safer than Nokia Software Updater. So i would advise to check for firmware using FOTA on your phone. If there is v20 dont update straight away. backup your data first then do the update.

This question is also one that I want answered, as my phone is this same product code but still I can only get v12.043. If indeed v20 has been around for some time, why is it not available on this model. One of the many "joys" of owning an N96 :-)

What exactly have you done to look for updates?

Have you looked both on NSU and via FOTA? Updates are often released via one method and not the other.

same here pc 0573063 i have checked both nsu and fota and no luck still on v12 **bleep**

I personally have looked on Nokia's website

and also on the *#0000# Device Manager menu

 

the former says 12.043 is the latest version available, and checking thru the phone itself results in "no updates available".

 

i havent got an n97 as i'm worried that there'll be loads of firmware bugs on that and i dont foresee firmware coming out quicker for the n97 than it has for the n96, so i'll stick to the n96 for now and hope it gets updated some time this month. unless the next version of the firmware comes out first and our product codes skip v20.

Both NSU and FOTA saying no available updates.

 

Maybe it is still too short period of time for v20 release for this product code.

 

Nokia, any answer?
