Got a phone call from Nokia MENA Customer Care, and their best suggestion was to take the phone to the nearest Nokia Repair Centre, who 'should' be able to update it for me.
But, these days, I'm using my N95 and it's working pretty well, and not really missing my "new" phone anymore.
Just wondering though, there still has been no 'official' announcement of when the new v20 will be out for everyone. I do think that is very unfair and not consistent on behalf of Nokia.

Hi,
I have got this N97 in India (code 0587487). Even though the website (nokia.co.in) says firmware version 2(0).0 available on the home page, whenever I try to update either using NSU or OVI or OTA update, everything tells me 'NO UPDATES AVAILABLE'.
My current software version is 12.0.0.26. Can anyone please help me.

Dear Topic Starter,
I'm in Saudi Arabia and have been able to update my device. I have Nokia (White). I updated my device to V20, the very first day when the update was available and now i am downloading V 20.0.0.27.

Hi eeman.
Yes, when it first come out ( 27th Oct ) I tried downloading it , as it was available then, but my NSU crashed just before the end of the download. A couple of days later when i tried again, it had been pulled and only v12 was available.
I've been waiting for v20 ever since and its just now come back available.

hi kill.
When I first installed it, I had around 48mb free on the C Drive, and now after setting it up and installing contacts tec, it hovering around 38mb.
This is only the C drive though, I don't actually think its the RAM memory available?
I like the keyboard, long presses on the key's brings up numbers/symbols without having to press the fn key and SYM button. Scrolling is good too, very quick. So far, the phone has not hung or frozen when dealing with incoming calls, which was my main complaint from v12.
