Ah kool, hopefully when im halfway through my contract the phone will work as it should. i noticed you mention performance and stability improvments, however improvements is a very nice word to bend what is true, i.e. fixing things which are just out-right broken

The code 0586707 is listed as N97 RM-505 Country Variant Norway NO - White, which had 20.0.019 available from 9 November.

You can also find out the status of codes at the "Can I update" section of the Europe softwrae update pages

Could you please publish the newly updated list (311 units) of product codes, where v2.x.x is now available.

I am with Vodagroan (UK), with 0585262, which still doesn't appear to be available for update to s/w.

I appreciate YOU don't know when it's to be released either (if it's not already), so just a case that we continue to wait, patiently :-)

Hi All,.

I have had the Nokia N97 (0585262) since day 1 and have not had any major issues to date...

However, I am getting slightly annoyed that I can not update my firmware at all...

I am still on Firmware: 11.0.021 and am unable to go to version 12 using the NSU or even version 20

Is there anyone else with the same issues - and can a Nokia Rep please advise further.

Why not make a list a sticky? And update it as codes become available....

20.0.27 seems to be available only for MENA (Middle-East and North Africa) phones so far though. It might not be the right thing for UK phones.

Yes, 20.0.027 is for the Middle East variants only.

Different version numbers are used to differentiate geographical and hardware variations and SW version numbers 20.0.019, 20.0.027, 20.1.021 and 20.2.019 are all versions of the same "2.0" release and contain no other changes.

The key is (usually) in the first two digits: 10, 11, 12 now 20.

I updated my N97 yesterday (In the Philippines), BUT after completing the phone update via PC suite, my phone stop working and i have to bring it to the service center, waiting for almost 2 hours before i can be assisted (have to leave it for 2-3 days according the the service assistant). I am so disappointed with this phone, have been going back to the service center already for so many time ever since i got it last september. If I were given a chance to return it, I WILL (sad to said you can not return it even if your not satisfied and with much factory defect in our country), i was wondering why Nokia is running backward, with this model the language is so limited, compare to my first Nokia phone model: 2110, you've got so many choice of languages. with the world nowaday, people are travelling from one country to another, need to do business in different languages, this is a NEGATIVE factor to Nokia, Have been using Nokia for more than 15 years now, i think i should swith now to Samsung or LG, they are fast catching up and with lots of feature....
