We want new firmware.

Why should we have to look to others to get better firmware.

You make the phone, you sell the phone, you should look after the phone.

The N97 was not a cheap phone to buy and i waited a year to get one because you kept putting the date back.

Now after all the hype of your flag ship phone bummed out, you decided to punish the people who bought it with rubbish firmware.

Come on Nokia this is why you lose all your credibility to Samsung, Apple, HTC and so on.

I have always bought Nokia phones but now seriously thinking of buying a Galaxy instead.

The N97 is an excellent phone brought down by lazy firmware developers.

Pull your fingers out and sort it.

£400 for a black brick, it's day light robbery.

My daughters LeapPad makes your firmware look like a joke, and thats for 4-9 year olds.

even the simple music player bug wasn't fixed. it redirects you to the homescreen if you tap back. it seems impossible that you would be making a major firmware for the n97 classic. so what i'm just asking is to fix the bugs!!!

my n97's went to service once like 1 month ago... now its going again! because of the camera and the GPS that takes 50mins to lock sinal!!...

if it gets fixed... fine! if it doesnt nokia has to give me a new one! since it's been discontinued.... i might get an equivalent phone'?

I want the music player to remember which song it last played when I turn the phone off.  That way, I can continue listening where I left off the next time I turn the phone on.  I use it exclusively as a music player now.  The 32 GB of storage and FM transmitter are great features for playing music.

I e-mailed Nokia bout this thread, and what does Nokia pretend to do about it...

to fix all these bugs....

u know what they sent back at me?

they asked me what was i unhappy for on my N97....!!

so they could help me if i go especific on the issue...

 i sent back a 10 issues list so they know what im talkin bout...

lets see... 5 months waiting for a reply.... and now this?

i hope tyhey do something...

My N97's GPS is a J-O-K-E!

So I've named her "Ruth Recalculation".

Even after sending my RM-507 back in for the factory lens scratch fix and supposed GPS antenna fix it still has a scratched camera lens and the GPS frequently loses its "fix" at critical moments and says "Route Recalculation".

Why Nokia is ignoring the customers who paid a record amount for an over-hyped phone is beyond me.

Nokia really should fix this firmware--take out the "junk" so that it is not ham-strung on memory and runs at least as fast as what was shown in the video advertisements for the N97.
