N97, No ringtone after using Headphones and headphone during ON CALL MENU

Hi,

is anyone experience some problems regarding Ringing ? 

After using headphones, if someone calls me, my phone does not give any audible notification or vibration.

I am not sure if it is really related to use of Headphones but Its happening quite often. 

At that time, the volume of the phone is too too low to hear anything. Music or any other application which can produce sound, produce sound of maxium 5% of the routine sound. 

 

I have to restart the phone in order to get it back and functioning properly. I have reset the phone but even then no luck. my device is having latest firmware 11.0.2  like this. 

 

One more important issue, soemtime during call it does not recognize if we have attached the headphones. u can listen to song etc but the SPEAKER option will not grey out in  ON CALL MENU. I have to again restart the device and then ON CALL MENU also recognize, ahaaaa there is head phone. 

 

Please help, if someone already experience this.

Sounds like a software related problem to me...

 

Are you running on the latest firmware?

 

You can update your phone using the NSU:

Nokia Software Updater

All you need for this is a internet connection and a data cable for your phone!

 

If the problem persist you, and everybody else, will have to wait for a fix in the next update...

Hi

Thanks for ur reply. 

My phone is up-to-date. This problem was also present in V10. 

After that i updated to V11 but even then the same problem. 

I also turned off, Say caller name and others feature. NO special ring tone.

What I suspect, some applications are not releasing the control of sound card or driver...

 

Anyways, let see if there are some others having the same problem.

What is this all about?! Do you think you´re more likely to get help if make posts like this one?! I don´t think so...

After spending 650 Euros , one is not able to recieve a call properly and then you think he should not shout and cry as well.......

 

Well the main issue is to know, if this is only MINE problem or its general. Should I go to nokia repair center or wait for update....

I´m with you that a phone that costs 650€ should work flawlessly, but you have to think if anybody feels like helping you if you act that way. This is a user-user board and not Nokia themselves you are addressing...

 

I would try both. Go to a Nokia Care Center to see if they can sort it out and if they don´t you can still wait for an update which might take some time since there has been a new software recently...
