Hi,

I recently updated my N97 to SW version  30.0.004. Overall I am happy with the upgrade but I have a problem with the email client. I need to turn off automatic synchronisation. In the old SW version I sould do this and then synzhornise only when I choose to. In certain circumstances this helps in saving battery life and data usage. 

In the Synchronisation Options I have set Retrieval Days to "None" but emails are still synchronising autmatically at some point during the day.

In the retrieval frequency there used to be an option "Manual" which now disappeared. I have an E72 with the latest SW and this option still exists.

Can you help? Is there any way how to set the settings in a way that only Manual synchronisation will be possible?

Hi, i have the same problem on my n97 mini v30.2. It just starts downloading the email and I have set to None in the same option .

Is there any Nokia guru able to help with this? Is there a way in the new Software to disable automatic synchronisation of Email??

By the way, I am using Gmail if it makes any difference.
