v30 firmware still has lagging video recording problem, this is really stupid. frames freezes every few seconds during recording.
Users of such high end set does not expect such major faults.
Nokia Technical Dept. pls rectify these major problems asap.
Ppl are paying a lot of money to buy these expensive top of the line cellphones not to get dissapointed/embarassed.

How to fix Video recoding issue

getting stuck when you are recoding a video using main camera?
(That is not a firmware issue)

Remove the softwares installed on the phone, backed up the phone memory & mass memory and than format the mass memory, hard reset the phone (*#7370) and after all restore the backup and reinstalled the softwares you used before.

ermm i was just curious did u successfully fix the bug by doing all those thing? cause when someone sms n call me while video recording...the bug came back again even though i reinstall the firmware or formatting it.

If you switch to record to the phone memory instead or use a lower quality then you should not have this problem. 

The problem is not from the firmware it is from the mass memory

I fix it by Defragmenting the mass memory from the PC

I used Diskeeper 2009

As we all know, mass memory speed is a little bit slower than the phone memory. Instead of defragmenting the mass memory (if you don't have a PC at time of recording), why don't you set at phone memory as default place to capture the video. After completing the recording, transfer it to mass memory.

Phone memory also being used as dynamic memory (or paged files on Windows) to support phone RAM, so the phone memory had to be utilised as minumum as you can so that it won't affects your phone performance.

Its not just an issue for video recording.

I downloaded and Installed V30.0.018 on my phone 4 days ago and my phone has crashed about 40 times

It never happend before the update. It happens during navigation or GPS positionig on the internet

playing games or just sitting there doing nothing.

Looks like your software has a major problem try doing a reset by following these:

- A soft reset by keying in *#7780# when on standby - This will not delete any data but will restore all the settings back to default.

If that does not help then you may wanna try doing a hard reset by keying in *#7370# when on standby - This will reformat the phone. DO NOT FORGET TO DO A BACK UP AS THIS WILL ERASE YOUR ENTIRE PHONE MEMORY.

The security code by default is 12345

Also try to remormat your memory card as it might be the cause of the problem.

using phone memory to record video is a stupid idea. the whole point of using mass memory is so you can record loads of video which you cant do with mass memory. there should be a BAD KUDOS button for ridiculous ideas. also you houldnt ask for kudos...thats rude
