CAN ANY ONE HELP I HAVE THE NOKIA N95 8GB MOBILE PHONE AND HAVE JUST RECENTLY UPDATED IT WITH THE NEW SOFTWARE FROM THIS SITE I THINK IT WAS UPDATE NUMBER 30 SOMETHING. SINCE DOING SO NONE OF THE BUTTONS ON THE HANDSET WORK APART FROM THE ON/ OFF BUTTON. I CAN STILL ANSWER CALLS BY SLIDING THE SCREEN UP.

I HAVE TAKEN THE SIM/ BATTERY ETC OUT AND TURNED IT BACK ON BUT STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. 

ALSO WHILE THE PHONE IS LOADING UP AFTER SWITCHING IT ON ,IT SAYS IT IS INSTALLING SHORTLY AFTER IT SAYS UNTRUSTED SOFTWARE ON MASS MEMORY TO INSTALL GO TO MEDIA STORAGE ALTHO I CAN NOT USE ANY OF THE FUCTION BUTTONS TO ACESS THE SOFTWARE.

I HAVE TRIED TO CONNECT IT TO MY PC TO REMOVE THE NEW UPDATE AND I CANNOT GET THE PC TO RECONGISE THE N95 AS IT ASKS YOU TO PUSH OK ON THE PHONE TO CONNECT TO PC SUITE.

IT IS ONLY SINCE I UPDATED THE SOFTWARE ON MY PHONE THAT I HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM IT WORKED FINE BEFORE, IS MY PHONE REPAIRABLE ? HAS ANY ONE ELSE HAD THIS ISSUE WITH THE N95 8GB OR KNOWS OF WHAT I SHOULD DO?

WOULD APPRECIATE ANY ONE THAT COULD GIVE ME ADVISE ON THIS OTHER THAN BUYING A NEW PHONE!? THANX

First of all I´d like to know if there´s a particular reason why all words in your post are in CAPITAL letters...

Just couldnt be bothered to change the capital letters to small.

I have tried that and hasnt worked. I do not have any buttons that work to connect it to pc and cant hold any buttons to reboot it either.

Only updated the phone didnt expect it to damage the phone as it had no problems whilst it was updating didnt switch off or anything unusual. Was only the next day after doing it i have had problems.

Any help would be great

no experience here with that.. but, try to hard reboot your phone and flash it again with the new firmware. i hope you have a backup! especially b4 rebooting it. long process but hopefully it will do the trick.

Did you hard format your mobile? If not then hard format your mobile. For that, Format your memory card first and then turn off your mobile. Then hold down this 3 button "green call key, * and 3" and switch on your mobile. Hold down that three button till country insertion dialogue appear. This will solve your problem. If you can't format your memory card from your mobile then remove it from your mobile and format it using card reader. After all process done well and your mobile work well then insert memory card in your mobile and again format it using mobile's inbuilt memory card format utility. If all this not work then go to your nearest Nokia Service Centre and give your mobile to them.

yeah try the hard format.. it worked on my n95 8gb.. the root of all your problems is the software update. that happened to me too. so i think we should never "update" our phones since it never helps anyway.. and the backup too..
