Yes, I saw the N91 addition and immidiatly updated the firmware with success,
I have 2 questions to ask, so thanks in advance to anybody who answers them

1) What are the difrencies from the previous firmware regarding the N91 model?

2) When are the N80 and N93 will be added to the Software updater combatibility list? I think these two smartphones need the a firmware update and fast.

1) The 2.00.052 N91 software has improved HDD performnce and the big one IT now supports Windows DRM. You purchase songs off HMV, Yahoo, Napster etc and listen to them

Hi - I updated mine and it is great. Here are some simple steps I picked up and followed off the GSM arena blog

1) Make sure you have the latest PC suite (6.81)from : http://europe.nokia.com/A4144903, or other local regional sites.

2) Install the Nokia software update application sw from http://www.nokia.co.uk/softwareupdate (note you need 256MBytes of RAM on your PC or it will not install and you getan error message)

3) Then program your phone

a) Backup your phone memory (ROM) using PC suite (to preserve your DRM activation keys etc).

b) Copy your files (Music, Videos, Documents, Images etc) from the device HDD to your PC (recommended to use USB Mass storage).

c) Copy your applications, themes etc (original SISX, Java etc files before you installed them) from your HDD to your PC (Do not simply copy the installed directories/files over)

d) FORMAT your HDD

e) Proceed with SW update (note you need to be attached to a charger and not in offline mode. Do not answer or make call or disconnect the device during this process)

f) Reset your phone memory by typing *#7370# (code 12345) (recommend this just to be safe)

g) Restore your phone memory using PC suite

h) Copy back your HDD contents from your PC to your clean HDD

h) Re-install your applications/themes

Well, you seem to take this firmware update too cautiously, I mean you take so many precautions with the update when I just saved the contacts to the hdd and went on with the update, no hard resets and no hdd back up, but considering the N series problems you may be right with this "precautions" steps, even though the update does not "touch" the hdd or the memory cards on a phone. So, Better be best prepeared than sorry with data loss
