Hi,
I want to preform a firmware update on my N91, but I am worried that I might not be able to play the Live 8 videos that came with the phone if I do so.

I have backed up the memory (but not the hard disk) using PC suite, and copied the .dcf files from the hard disk to the PC. Is this enough to ensure I keep them, or are they stored somewhere else? Will I lose them when doing a firmware update?

Hey,
No the videos will stay where they are, nothing on the HDD gets deleted or removed its only the Phones ROM memory that is reset. So make a back up like u have done and this will ensure the active keys are restored on your phone so you can play the vidoes again.

Yup. 2.10 seems to be now rolling out (it will probably take about 2 weeks to get to all countries and operators like 2.00 did).

I bet this resolves the issue with some 3rd party applications not running, sms slow down etc

I loaded it and actually bought the BestTaskman (because so many people talked about it) and it works (it a good app too)

Well, I think at the time I made the update people were talking about 2.0, but because this has the O2 network version of the firmware it was way behind with only 1.1 available. Still, I'll check again at the weekend - hopefully they've caught up now.

Yeah iv bin seein the same, the branded phones are waiting longer for updates especially O2, im still on the v1.xxx.xxx which totally sucks its way behind. Everybody is talkin bout v2.xx.xxx an i cant get it. its stupid!!!
