Hi,
I am owner of the N85 from past 11 months. The pride of using N85 did not last atleast a week to me. Whenever i play games, music, videos the phone just restarts and day by day this problem has become more intense. I get freaked out before my friends. It is so disappointing. I feel that Every application i run in this mobile crashes some how and phone freezes or restarts. Now everyone who operates my N85 throws at me a pity expression and asks me whats this junk i bought for 22k. I get so annoyed. Is this what i get for buying the N85 from the great Nokia?
However after using the mobile for 11 months i figured out what the major problem might be that is causing the phone applications to freeze or restart. ITS THE NETWORK!! THE FLUCTUATING SIGNALS OF THE NETWORKS THAT CRASHES WITH THE PHONE'S RUNNING APPLICATIONS. I came to this conclusion because when i run applications in offline mode the phone does not restart or freeze like it does usually when the network connection is active. The restarting problem is more pronounced when the phone receives messages or calls while other applications are running.
I might not be a technical expert but i just want to add my point of advice to your knowledge to generate ideas for developing the software updates for N85. So that Nokia can make the disappointed N85 owners like me satisfied

Yeah - it's not the network. Its the phone - or to be more precise, the radio in your phone if you are noticing the issues you mention. I have the same problem developing with my N85 - I had noticed that it was most frequent when sending a text, or hanging up the phone, but hadn't tried offline mode. Frankly a phone is no good to me in offline mode when it is my primary means of communication.
So it may be crashing when you are doing something signal related, but that is still a problem with the phone. I really do regret purchasing this thing at this point. Some people have mentioned that a hard reset will restore the crashing problem. I've already had to do a hard reset to restore my ability to text message. I want a phone that just works - all the time - without the massive troubles that the N85 has had. I would be willing to attibute it to one bad model - but it just seems to be systemic with Nokia S60 phones that something is going to screw up and have to be fixed with a hard reset. I'm just sick of this piece of **bleep**.
