didn't find another bug, but noticed that the phone seems to stabilise itself from errors. i noticed this happening on two occassions, in the past i have been tempted (and have often) to take off the cover and let the phone rest for five or so minutes. but when the right soft key locks up, you leave it 30 or so seconds and it starts working again. same again with the centre key in the navi wheel. i have only seen these happen while playing music in the Music Player, but still that its able to correct itself is pretty nice

Have found a couple issues with my phone. If I switch it off and then back on again, when booting up it gets past the hand-shaking screen then the backlight stays on with an otherwise blank screen. It wont go any further and I'm not able to switch it off with the power button. Only option I have is take the battery out and reinsert.

Second problem I found recently. Was taking a picture of my niece across a table so was only two to three feet away however she was sitting in front of a window. So switched flash mode to "force flash" and pic was still under-exposed. Tried red-eye reduction setting as well but pic was still under-exposed. Tried without flash and it was actually marginally better than when trying with flash although still very under-exposed. Looks like flash and shutter are not synchronised when using flash? Know about the lack of zoom as mentioned previously.

Hi all and Nokia,

I'm having a problem with my N78, v21.002:

when a new SMS arrives, it is placed "somewhere" in the sms list, never sorted by date, no matter if I check "sort by -> date".

Please fix this in v30 as it is very frustating, I need to scroll the entire sms list!!

please release v30.011 soon we n78 users are still customers of nokia, just because we puchase a cheaper version of your product doesnt mean we must be neglected. For the zooming i can offer a solution for you guys but i for others im not sure. Im most annoyed by the bug that sometimes you can press back button, you must press several buttons before you are able to use the back button again... trully annoying.

To fix the zooming problem, set a picture for your startup image

Settings > General > Personalization > Display > Welcome logo > Choose image and put an image. 

 Reboot your phone an wallaaa, the zooming is working again...

PLEASE do release a new firmware soon nokia, we n78 users are trully asking for it.

i updated my N78 to firmware v.21 and it would come on again. it just keeps vibrating each time i switch it on without even showing the welcome animation and goes off after. what do i do?

I am having problem when I put the profile to SILENT. It doesn't show the Display Indicator( Icon),So when someone rings my phone it doesn't vibrate and lit up.Please help me guys.

Press and hold the "multimedia" button (it is the little silver button), the " 3 " button and the " * " button and then power up the phone. Release the buttons when the nokia logo comes on. Hope that helps.

I have a N78 V. 12.046 when i turn on FM transmite and then off its i can not use louad speaker at all and i must to reseat factory .

Please help me .

another my problem is when i wante my clls list (Green Button) it open left shorcut (New SMS)i thinke this 2 buttom is very mixed.

These are known bugs of the 12.046 firmware. Update to 21.002 and they will be gone.

Anyone been able to reproduce the bug where the backlight does not go off when you activate the key lock and the backlight comes on with any keypress when the keylock is activated?

This has happened to me several times with firmware 21 and each time I have not been able to work out how.

My battery was completely drained this morning. There was no sign of a low battery last night - the battery indicator was full and there were no low battery bleeps during the night that I was aware of. 

Is this some new bug where the battery gets drained very quickly by some combination of circumstances?

I rebooted again this morning and (forgot that I need to remove the microsd card to guarantee a successful boot up) and the piece of junk got stuck after the nokia handshake with a bright white screen and keypad lights on full. I still can't believe that in this day and age an electronic gadget cannot even switch on. What's worse is that it can't be switched off unless you remove the battery.

This phone has been a very disappointing experience. If I hadn't spent so much money on it, I'd be buying another phone (probably not a Nokia)

i ve many bugs for n78, when recorded video, phone freeze. and then i must put out the battery.

when my song up to 400 song, to move in other song, choose option and other take more 1 minute very slow.

after played n-gage, animaton transisition has lost so i must restar,

alarm never ever tried. 

need update software ASAP include improvements and change icon.
