Dear Updaters

We are pleased to announce the inclusion of two more variants for the Nokia N73. Sweden and UK variants (product codes 0539093/0539094 and 0539101/0539102) are now available in the Nokia Software Updater.

If you have downloaded the Nokia Software Updater pc client, you can use the version you have - or you can download the client from
www.europe.nokia.com/softwareupdate

We are constantly creating and testing new releases as software becomes available, and we will keep you informed.

The updater still says there are no updates for my phone (0539101 - 39.01 - 2.0628.0.0.1)

still no updates available for german versions though...

Of course - it asks for permission when it's first run.

Disabling it makes no difference.

Error message is:
"Unable to read the software package. Please try again later"

Surely it should complain about not being able to communicate if the firewall is a problem?

Yep - 1.2.0en

Tried a different PC and it worked! Both PCs were running XP Pro - the only significant difference was Norton AV (and yesy I did try with it disabled) on the first and BitDefender on the second.

The update looses _all_ data from the phone so make sure you've done a couple of backups.

My problem is, whenever i try to install the upgrade this message always appear, "minimum memory requirements 256 MB"... What do i have to do??? I'm from Cyprus and don't know what to do about upgrading my N73...

Well done Nokia. Just updated my UK unbranded N73. Haven't had time to see if the old bugs have gone, or if there are any new ones. Despite all the negative comments here, it shows that Nokia do act...eventually.

I just upgraded to the new version 3.0638.0.0.1 Since doing this however, I am now unable to use ANY bluetooth device. I have tried pairing several different bluetooth headsets but the N73 doesnt detect any of them (I have them in pair mode - just in case you were going to suggest that)... Any ideas?

I have the same problem, I can't detect any devices by bluetooth anyone have any suggestions?

I upgraded to v 3.0638.0.0.1

this message means that your computer isn't up to the required spec to run the application. You need at least 256Mb of RAM in the PC which you obviously don't have. Do you have access to another PC that you could use that may be more capable?

I use my personal computer... but i'm not literate enough on computer to detect wether my pc has 256 free RAM memory...

The NSU has told you that you don't.

To check, go to Start, Run and type in the following:
dxdiag

When the box comes up you will see what you have beside the word "Memory". This number will be less than 256 which is why the NSU will not work on your machine.
