Hamma: go figure! I'd like to point out that not everyone has the problems you are describing. Especially the SMS problem is not heard of very often. You could just try and install SMS_Accel.sis(x). You can download this VERY small application from the Nokia Smartphone website (software for your phone). I can do ANYthing I want during sending of messages; even browse the web at full 3G speed. So I figure you didn't install this application, whereas Nokia even advised this in the open. If you have firmware version v3.x you don't need this application any more, but anything below v3.x DOES need it.
The other problems you describe do come across now and then, but please don't close your eyes to the fact that SE can also have its fall-backs. I'm not saying that Nokia has done a perfect job on this phone, but please note that all brands have their own problems. You are in bad luck with this N73 of yours, and I can imagine you feel thoroughly disappointed by its performance in your case, but it DOES have its own share of satisfied users; although these satisfied users never raise their voices in internet discussions. But hey, when do they ever? It's a public secret that most discussions on any product or service turn out to be a load of complaints... When will anybody ever be positive about anything on the web?
I have had my own fair share of problems with my N73, but none of these persist with my current firmware version (v3.0368.0.0.1), and luckily for me, none of these problems are hardware based. You HAVE had a number of hardware based problems, such as the stick choosing to fall off before Christmas, and I feel sorry for you in that case. But I do find it a bit of a roll-over to hear you saying that nobody should buy this phone, just because you have had these problems. Although it might seem different here on this board, I remain to think that there ARE a whole lot of people who ARE happy with the phone, and YOU should finally realise that you could just as well have experienced a similar set of issues with ANY other brand, including Sony Ericson. I feel free to say this even though I know that SE as well as Nokia belong to the best available mobile phone brands. I have never yet had any problems with ANY of my phones (at least not of the sort which you are describing); whether they were Nokia, SE or Motorola. But I also know of quit a shedload of people who DID have problems, with ANY of those brands. This includes, but IS NOT LIMITED TO Nokia. I wrote this in upper case because I wish that you finally realise this. You could also just visit the SE User Forums and find out for yourself that these phones aren't problem-free either...
