Please let us know if you have any problems with the new firmware. And is the browser working fine with high flash content? eg. skysports.com and youtube (desktop version)
I would really appreciate it if anyone gave me some info. thanx

I haven't noticed any problems as yet, but maybe I'm wearing rose tinted specs but it seems to be fine, there's nothing amazing but it's a big increase in performance and stability.
Flash heavy content seems absolutely fine albeit a little slow to render.

Major problems! Mail for Exchange no longer connects and the "Destinations" option in Settings, Connectivity just refuses to open. Just jumps back to the menu!

I can't access "destinations" anymore??
When I press it it says "system failure".
And the N97 keeps asking for a connection as well.
Can you all check please?

Ok at first glance...
On the home screen, the overall widget width seems to have been reduced slightly.
You can also hold down on a widget to remove it or change it's settings. Not sure if this was there before.
Kinetic scrolling sees to work well, but it looks like the Ovi Shop bug with not being able to scroll is still there, even though this was pointed out in a preliminary review of the v20 firmware.
Phone is far more responsive and the Acuweather app seems to remember it's settings now.
I don't know if I'm imagining it but it seems the fonts in the menus have been adjusted slightly. Everything appears somewhat cleaner.
After the update you are also show a splash screen for Ovi maps etc.
Just gave my phone a hard reset to start from scratch and:
Facebook app appears to be the same.
There is no Skype
Phone is far more responsive
The album art in the music library is nice
There are no new themes
I still can't get my MfE to work, it keeps saying the installation package is missing.
All in all a decent update but no miracles.

I still have a bug that has existed since I first got the phone with V11.
When I first got my N97 I imported all my contacts from my N95 using the supplied bluetooth app (switch?). This of course looses all the default settings (grrr).
I have one contact who I cannot assign a default to. The contact has two mobile numbers and an email address. I can open and view the contact. I can even add/remove numbers. I can call this person on either number, but when I open the contact info and then select "defaults" it dumps me back out to the contact list page again.
When I originally had the problem on V11 I thought it might be to do with the contact's name. My friend is Polish, so has an extended Polish letter in her name. So I had editted it and changed it to a normal L. That was back at V11, and I still can't set defaults.

No problem
Ok, I sorted out my Mail for exchange.
Seems the 5800 Express installation package works just fine.
Just reinstalled Google Maps and Fring without any issues and and marvelling at how fast and responsive this phone is, it really is a joy to operate now.

This is a bug that exists on most S60v5 devices.
The workaround is to export the contact as a .vcf file, delete it and then re-import it from the .vcf file.
Go to the contact in question, then (note that this is how to do it on a 5800 - the N97 might be slightly different):
Options > Copy business card > To other memory.
Select the drive (E: mass memory or F: memory card)
Then Options > Delete
Finally, locate the .vcf file in either E:\Others\Contacts or F:\Others\Contacts depending on where you saved it. Open the .vcf file, then Options > Save business card.
Thanks grschinon,
I didn't realise it was such a common thing, you'd think Nokia would know how to import from an N95 to an N97, it's ot like I'm going via an (sorry about the language) iPhone or something!

I did a hard reset before and after updating the device, and guess what? It works verry well. At this point, I am looking forward to use my n97 for work and everything else. At least Nokia is walking in the right direction!
Format the phone, install v20, format again, and then - have a good time![]()

Do you think that hard reset , install and hard reset again is walking is the right solution? I think it's quite not serious for a work application!!!
Otherwise I have the same problem as don_sa, when I want to go to the "Destinations" option in Settings, Connectivity just refuses to open. Just jumps back to the menu!
Other problem, when I go to settings, connectivity and admin settings, I have SIP settings and when I want to create a new SIP profile using default profiles, its refuse to open and I go back to menu.
Have you the same problem?
