Firmware updates via bluetooth

I am trying to update the firmware for the 7370 as I am unable to synchronise my phone to Microsoft Outlook. However, the update manager insists I have a cable connection to the PC despite the fact that this phone only comes with bluetooth in Australia (or at least mine came without a cable). Is there any way of using the Bluetooth connection to upgrade the firmware?

Re: Firmware updates via bluetooth

I don't think so, due to high risk of corrupt data and -> dead phone
Phone: Nokia N8
Firmware: 14.002 (PR 1.2)
Product code: 059D2S8

Re: Firmware updates via bluetooth

Thanks.
Any hints as to why I can backup my phone and also transfer files, but not synchronise with Outlook? Outlook always says the connection does not exist, and Nokia PC Suite synchronises everything else but not contacts. Possibly only a minor settings change nedded?

Ignore the last post - it seems Outlook is synchronising now (I don' know why). Thanks for your help.

Re: Firmware updates via bluetooth

Re the suggestion in the title: I doubt it would ever be possible to update firmware via Bluetooth as the Bluetooth software is clearly part of the firmware (since it's upgradable via firmware it must be).

Also, not all phones come with a cable - the N80 was the first Nokia I've had that had one. With all my other Nokias, cables have been an accessory you had to buy.
