Nokia UK HQ have long been aware of this thread, I have been in contact with them personally, though I don't yet have any news that I can give you on this topic.
Kind regards.
I respect your reasoning for the removal of the post, and also respect the rules.
I will contact the person involved and ask them to interact with people via personal message only.

The rules are that all the customers are treated the same way.
Or not?
Where are our UPDATE?

mirkocat, Lets just calm this down and keep it constructive.
Shouting and kicking up a fuss is going to send this thread off topic. For now lets just forget about the removed post and stick to the topic. I will be contacting the journalist and explaining the situation.
Jauhis has given us information earlier so we will wait to see if that comes true and improves the update situation in the UK once and for all.

The posts following it were removed because there was little point leaving posts which refer to a removed post as it makes no sense to new readers. We particularly could not leave the posts which quoted it word-for-word as this is as much of a breach as the original post itself.
Please be aware that Nokia Support Discussions is a peer-to-peer support forum. We have 'bent' the rules to allow this thread to continue even though it is outside of our scope due to the nature of the issue. As Psychomania points out, this thread is making progress and there has already been positive feedback from Nokia in this thread indicating that Nokia is working to resolve the issues. If we receive any more official statements on the issue, they will be published here.

Just wanted to add my support to this campaign. After having to do "that which shall not be talked about" to my T-Mobile N96 I took great care to get an unbranded phone this time (product code 0585162) and am yet another person getting hacked off with Nokia's neglect of their UK customers.
Hoping for V20 soon or else it looks like I will have to do that "thing" again and find myself a European product code.

30.0.011 for Nokia 5800 on Orange in the UK still isn't out yet. Whats going on
Sorry but that isn't relevant to this thread. If you have an orange branded/supplied phone then it is orange that is holding up the update, not nokia.
This thread is just for unbranded UK models, please don't send it off topic.

In addition to the post about N97 PR2.0 :
The new official 5800 release has been confirmed today. It is PR3.11 (31.1.xxx), and will be delivered in phases starting with Nokia language variants followed by country variants (such as UK) and operator/customer variants.
As this is a UK specific thread I might say that UK country variants are top on the list for both of these products. Hope you guys will enjoy the latest improvements as soon as they are ready for download via NSU or FOTA.

That's good news, thankyou.
Any word on what it contains? I.e. kinetic scrolling or changes to homescreen/widgets?
Or is it just a bugfix update?
