Can anybody within Nokia shed some lights on this please ?
Our problem with buying Nokia Handsets in Australia (currently my issue is with a N82) is that they are shipped with the APAC Firmware and contain dictionaries for:
- English
- Indonesia
- Phillipines
...
Since we have a number of Europeans on staff we would require the Euro firmware with (English, German, French, Italian) dictionaries that are actually of use.
Buying handsets in Europe is not a long-term feasible option for us - been there - done that.
So my question - why can't you just get the Firmware flushed to the European version. I have checked with the local Nokia service centre and got a blank look on the face of the person there and was told that they are not aware of anything (which seems to be a standard answer). Can this be done ? It should not be that hard to do.
Second - more as a suggestion - why can you not add T9 dictionaries on Nokia devices. This is something that should not be that hard to do - and I guess that there are thousands of people (judging by a google search on the topic) that would benefit from that.
Cheers,
