Hi,

I cannot install the Software Updater, because the following error appears:

Error 1304. Error writing to file c:\Programme\Gemeinsame Dateien\Nokia\Service Layer\nsl_omsi20_catalog.mod. Verify that you have access to thatdirectory.

Of course I have access, and I am a local adminsitrator on this laptop. Funny enough, if I write a simple text file and try to save it there unter exactly that given name, it says that I have no access. If I save it under a different name, there is no problem. If I save it under that name in a different directory, there is no prblem too.

Can anybody help please????

just wanted to say that i'm running into the same problem. I have exactly the same situation. I can create a file named nsl_omsi20_catalog.mod anywhere in file system BUT not under c:\programme\gemeinsame dateien\nokia\Service Layer\. What I can do is the following:

I create a folder named "Service Layer" anywhere in file system an then create an empty file inside that folder named "nsl_omsi20_catalog.mod". Then i copy the whole folder to "c:\programme\gemeinsame dateien\nokia\". Then the setup completes without the error message but the program will not work. I think it's because of the "fake" file. I found no way to get the real nsl_omsi20_catalog.mod from the msi file. Maybe someone can email it to me?

Has anybody else solved this problem? Might this be a virus protection issue? I'm using panda client shield...

I had the same problem. I have admin privileges but this file wasn't created! I couldn't even create a file with that name in the directory.

After trying everything, I just logged off and logged on again with the user name admnistrator. Now everything worked fine.

Okay The update just startet and nothing happened, but I assume I have the newest Mobil Software aon my E61.

Hi,

fill the fake file "nsl_omsi20_catalog.mod" with following content (only 2 lines):

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<module path="nsl_omsi20_catalog.dll" priority="3"/>

Save and move it - start the Nokia Software Updater.
My update runs (german version) - no problems.
