I updated my E90 from software version 210.34.75 to 300.34.84 with Nokia Software Updater.
I had taken a full backup of the phone contents with Nokia Content Copier before updating.
The backup seemed to have completed succesfully.
After updating I restored all contents from the backup.
Nokia Content Copier told that the backup had been restored succesfully and everything else seemed to be fine but all my calendar entries were gone.
So it seems that calendar entries from a backup taken from E90 version 210.34.75 can not be restored to a version 300.34.84 phone.
Has anyone managed to import calendar entries from E90 version 210.34.75 or older to version 300.34.84?
I had so many important entries in there that I even bought a copy of Noki from www.nokisoft.com because it seemed to be able to export calendar entries (among other things) to various formats from Nokia Content Copier backup files (in this case *.nbu) and the trial version only seems to export 30 oldest entries.
I haven't recieved the serial yet though. And I'd still like to be able to export all of my old entries at once (hundreads of entries).

I recieved my registration key for Noki and I was able to extract all of my 891 calendar entries from the .nbu backup file to .txt, .xls, and .vcs formats (thank god).
The Excel format is pretty useful since atleast I can easily view all of my upcoming entries.
But I'd still want to be able to somehow import these entries back to my phone all at once.
Anyway even for people without this problem I'd recommend Noki for anyone who has lots of important notes in his phones Memo or lots of important calendar entries and who would like to get readable backups of these on their PC.
You could even make your own web interface for viewing your notes or calendar entries if you exported the data from a nokia backup to xls. You could use the excel file with PHP or you could import the excel file in an SQL database with phpMyAdmin (or convert it to CSV first with Excel or OpenOffice Calc and then import to SQL).

ONLY way to get this to work is to back up your phone to PC Suite before upgrading the software. After upgrade, restore all data; calendar won’t work. Get hold of another Nokia phone with a large enough capacity memory, and restore the calendar to that handset. Then back up that calendar data to the PC Suite under another name; restore this calendar data to your original phone.
And if you have a moment, please make a formal complaint to Nokia Customer Services to fix this problem - I've known of it for at least 3 years, and every upgraded PC Suite has this fault - they just won't fix it. It's simply infuriating.
