Just got my hands on the E75 V200 update via NSU (Australia release) - what a release!! Now I have a very responsive E75 on a number of fronts:
-- Lightning-fast updated native browser. Some rendering changes for the better.
-- Many improvements to the Nokia messaging client (the main improvement for me is that email account renaming in the client now actually works, and changes transfer to the home screen).I like the modified attachment handling....
-- Calendar and contacts improvements. Contact search enhancements. Fast!
-- Telephony. I am currently staying at my sisters place in a very marginal 3G signal area. The radio is now that much more responsive and pulls in the 3G signal so that the phone is now usable! Voice conversations are now that much more stable. No I am not dreaming.
-- Always had problems "waking up" the E75 when connecting it to the laptop to sync and charge. Often I had no handshake nor charging. I had to try that multiple times. Now when connecting the E75 thru Nokia PC Suite it fires up as it should!
-- Way more improvements too many to mention - including overall handset speed enhancements.... GOOD WORK NOKIA!!! This is one mega update - a very worthy release.

Hmmm... wonder if a new firmware is also available for Singapore release.
From the improvements listed, it seems the issues I am facing now are common across region/country and the new firmware seems to fix most of it.

New Firmware Version: 201.12.01
What's New:
- Improved overall performance
- Improved e-mail stability
Seems the new firmware still not listed on http://europe.nokia.com/get-support-and-software/d

Any confirmation on a way to get this update? I see many talking about this update but no matter how much I try (from the phone, from the software updater tool, from the web, I simply do not see any release beyond the 110.48.125.

i've updated yesterday
it feels a tiny bit faster (although it might be my imagination), the only thing that's faster for sure is keyboard locking (left + *)
so far i've encountered two nasty problems
1. calls silently stopped working - when someone called me, he had ringing tone but my e75 ignored that call
when i tried to dial, it said call not allowed (something like when line 2 is selected although there was no such indication)
2. everytime i used something that tried to connect to net, music library came up - now this one is pretty strange and really obnoxious
both seem to be fixed by a hard reset but i can't restore settings using pc suite because it brings back those problems (so i have to set up everything again and install all the applications because they seem to be (stupidly) included under settings part of the backup)
i was really expecting more...

Sadly the alarm bug is not fixed, I've slept too late 'cause of this one ![]()
If phone is on silent and Clock Alarm & Calendar Alarm are at the same moment no Alarm at all. The Clock Alarm would wake-up even on silent mode but Calendar Alarm will block this.
What happens Calendar Alarm will flash display light, only if you press the left function button the Clock Alarm will be heard.

Dear Friends,
I just updated my E75 today to V200, everything is fine but when I tried to make a call, the phone displayed "Call not allowed", so practically any call is IMPOSSIBLE !
Any help/suggestions are warmly welcome !

As I'm working in the software business, I'm really wondering what kind of incapable testers has Nokia hired.
I thought there was no room for flaws for Nokia, but this firmware upgrade is certainly poorly tested, as my Nokia E75 does not function as a phone anymore.
I could have sworn that firmware upgrades are not meant to restrict your calling functions making your Nokia an ordinary device which only has the ability to memorise contact data, to calculate, write notes and set meetings and MAYBE surf the Internet. If knew about this, I would have saved 400$ and bought myself a large notebook and a pen to write the contact list down and other notes. And maybe a desk calculator... the cheapest one possible.
'Call not Allowed' - Great Job, Nokia! You have set a new definition for the words 'firmware upgrade'!
PS: My first array application in Borland C++ had a similar result! After 100 lines of code of adding, multiplying, reading, writing variables and other operations, I found out that my program had a big feature when I ran it: it exited the program (Borland C++) without asking me to save modifications or anything else! It was rather cool! It was so smart it even skipped the part when I had to enter the arrays, their length and other variables... or maybe just fast. ![]()

Hi everybody,
no good news from me:
I have the same problem on calling - by now my E75 is completely USELESS since it's first of all a TELEFONE and it does NOT WORK!
Maybe Nokia did not test programs on Win 7 (?) since i also have problems with nokia PcSuite + OVI.
But the real funny thing is that I received 2 short messages inviting me to update my software.
Thank you NOKIA!

Hi everyone,
This might help to the connection problems:
1. Connect the device with USB-cable to your computer.
2. Create a backup of the phone content with PC-Suite.
3. Reset the phone to the factory settings by typing *#7370# in home screen.
4. Restore backup with PC-Suite, but uncheck the Settings field.
5. Phone will restart automatically.

Just finished updating my E75-1 (MY product code), I don't see the icons various websites are talking about, in the Apps folder the extra icons i get are: Ph setup, Oper menu, Vid. servs as opposed to YouTube, Facebook, MySpace, now **bleep** is up with that? Vid. servs takes me to a Nokia webpage showing various HTML examples, **bleep**?

DO NOT RUN THIS UPGRADE BEFORE YOU DO A BACKUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This latest firmware upgrade is a disaster!!! It completely shut my phone down and i was not able to make or receive calls. Worst of all people who were phoning me got a ringing tone but the phone was unresponsive.
I had to do a complete factory reset on my phone as mentioned above using *#7370#. Also the default lock code for the E75 is 12345 and you will need this to restore the factory settings for the phone. Once i did this i restored my backup but unchecked the settings option so as to avoid the new firmware BUGS getting back onto my phone. Boy have i learnt my lesson about trusting these suppliers to fully test their software before subjecting poor Joe public to flawed solutions.
Pretty poor show indeed Nokia. I wont be doing a firmware upgrade anytime soon again!!!
