E71 crash after firmware update v400

guys, please some help!

i connected my E71 to ovi suite, it prompts me to update the software to a 400 version, i start doing it after backing up the phone in the memory card, everything ok, the update is fully downloaded to my pc, it starts to install it on the phone and at a certain point the program says that the connection to the phone was lost and to try unplugging and plugging again the usb cable....no reaction after 6 attempts, result: the phone crashed and won't turn on again!!!!!

can anyone help me?? is there anything i can do?

thanks a lot

pedro.

Re: E71 crash after firmware update v400

I am on my 3rd Nokia E71 handset!
I received the 3rd set as a replacement.
Switched it on and then tried to install my contacts
and the set froze.
I took out the battery, sim, memory etc to reset but every time the set came up with contact your retailer.
My other handsets were freezing switching off when answering a call not connecting to my bluetooth on my vehicle etc etc.
I have not had as many problems with a handset as I have had with the E71, all I can say it must have an intrinsically bad fault!
I have used Nokia sets in the past with no problems this has been a disaster.
PS I use it for my business.
