Ok...I've downloaded latest Software Updater, follow all the instructions and I still can't update my N97....I keep losing USB connection. Again I follow the instructions to reconnect and minutes later it loses connection again!
When I connect the USB cable I'm choosing PC Suite mode...is this right?
I've also tried using Nokia Ovi Suite

There really isn't anyone out there experiencing this?
note: I branded my phone but I don't think that's the case. It worked the very 1st time when I updated to v11.
but now it just does THIS.

IS the update available via FOTA? Check by pressing on you n97 *#0000# > Options > Check for Updates
You can update via Wi-Fi or network operator GPRS.

The version I'm trying to update is from pre-installed 11.0.021 to 12.0.026
I'm not sure how to check my phones model number though but it's a type RM-505

Salamander, the product code can be found on a white label under the battery - it will be 05xxxxx

SAME PROBLEM HERE !!!!
RM-507 NAM-LAT 0575401 SIM Free (USD800 used as toilet paper would be more usefull !!)
All sugestions around have been tried.
Found some log files on C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Nokia\Nokia Service Layer\A (Yes !! THERE !!! I guess they was trying to make us hard to find them !!!)and in there some entries like:

BTW: Have you realized how much info they pull out from our PCs without permission ???
This phoine was never hacked, debarnded, unlocked or anything like that. It was purchased SIM free, unlocked and brand new last July (I should have spend that money on vacations !!!)
Anyway. I DO KNOW NO NOKIA EMPLOYEE will post here. But at least, could you please gentlemen read this HARD EARNT INFORMATION and make some effort to justify your salary (paid by us) ???

Problem still unresolved !!!
Tried with 2 different PCs and on ALL the USB ports they have
Tried uninstalling, cleaning and reinstalling all the Nokia Stuff.
NOTHING. Same problem as described above.
Is there anybody there ????
