Well, that's one strike against Belle. ![]()

Why is that bad? QuickOffice is better, or you think there should be no office suite on Belle phones at all?

I think that any integration of Microsoft office apps to the symbian smartphone is a good idea. Most of us are pc users and the ability to move information between the pc and the smartphone easier is a great thing. I want my contacts and docs to move between outlook and word. life could be simple once again. ![]()

I agree with Onenote. it is pretty cool. I use it alot especially at work, although i think i am the only one out 250 other people on my floor.
People just dont seem to understand it, or understand how easy it is to keep update and shared amongst others.

The general response to Microsoft apps in symbian is positive... But one has to wait and see how many of the apps that Microsoft provides are really useful and how many are going to be thrust upon us.
To a certain extent, you are right. Quiet a few of the apps are really business orientated, requiring connection to servers. Lync for example is more or less a MSN chat equalivent for the business world. Sharepoint is another that is really just business based. Not many people are going to have sharepoint servers in their house or lync servers etc like I do. For me they will be useful.
Many of the other apps will be fine for most people and very useful. So I guess we will just have to wait and see what comes packaged with the update. Maybe we will be able to pick and choose the parts that we want.
But for anyone to be investing in the symbian platform no matter who they are, it has to be a positive thing. And the fact that Microsoft is prepared to make these kinds of apps work with symbian, can really only mean that we are likely to have symbian with us for some time to come. Which i beleive is definietly a good thing.
