Seriously, I can't get it done.
First, Nokia software updater doesn't work as it says can't connect to the internet. But my internet connection is absolutely fine and I've even disabled the firewall!
No worries, I'll do "over the air update" or whatever. But, for some reason, it doesn't work as well cause it needs a "server profile" which isn't there and I've no idea how and where to get one.
So and since internet searches proved to be a waste of my time, I'm posting here.
Please help me.
Also, Nokia, get your stuff together, updating my phone shouldn't be that difficult.

I've tried Ovi Suite as you suggested. I even made a nokia account or something. Anyway, everything was working fine until I got to this point:

The firewall is off and my internet connection is working fine. Three update procedures attempted, but not a single one of them works. What should I do now?

Are you at your work or some similar place?. It is not possible to use Nokia maps down loader at my work place doe to my works IM department blocks specific ports for some reason ![]()
So Nokia updating I need to do from home ...

I've been gone for a bit, but now I'm back and I'll reply to your questions.
I'm not at work, I'm at home. My internet is working fine.
I've uninstalled any nokia phone software prior to installing OviSuite so this isn't a problem.
And it's not the antivirus as well, I don't have one.

I also got this text today. When I go to applications, SW update, there is a "Phone Software!" message there. Is this the update? It has the box marked with the red cross, and when I go to the download button, it brings up a message telling me to do it online.
Have just downloaded the latest version of nokia software updater, and on both our pc's, it says "cannot locate device" or something along those lines. I was connected via the USB cable under pc suite.
Have no internet issues (firewall etc)
Any suggestions? I am currently on version 20.0.019 (13/10/09).
