I have tried and found out it does not work and have been informed that this is a bug with the v20 firmware, do it at your own risk.

 

it can be done by holding down green dial key, star (*) key and number three (3) key, when switching
the device on from power key. Hold down all three keys until Nokia welcome animation is
showed. 

 

Just thought i would let everyone know, does anyone know when a new firmware will be out to fix this problem

the code *#7370# works, however the newer nokia models esp. n and e series have the udp- user data preservation build in and it actually no longer wipes your phone clean. the only way you can do that is by doing the 'three finger salute' which is exactly what you have done.

just go to settings and do factory restore. its same as *#7370#
