5800 picks its own ringing tone, despite having it set to a custom tone. PLEASE HELP

Bought a trutone (02). Works fine, but on occasions, only when my partner calls me, it swaps itself to the Nokia ringtone (v embarrasing). Does not do it all the time, just randomly. All profiles have been set to the custom tone, why does it do this?

 

Also noticed that text messaging outbox always shows 20 messages, regardless of how many ive sent.

 

Any ideas?

Make sure that the ringtone to use is short (a file under 1MB in size) and is stored in the phone's memory instead of on the memory card.

As for the number of messages, go into the messaging application, then:

Options > Settings > Other > Number of saved messages

Hi, thanks for info. Ive sorted the message issue.

Ive moved the ringtone to the phone memory, and it still does it. Its only when 1 particular contact calls me.

The tone is less than 1MB.

Try converting the ringtone to mp3
