My dear friend,
I'm totally understanding your problem, let me explain to you what happens in the warranty center from my back
experience came from my personal dealing with them, there a receptionist person recieves the mobiles from customers
trying to write a short message to the technican who doesn't know any thing about your problem except through your message, and when he fails to understand the problem he starts to replace any part (hardware) the can solve the problem
and probably that happened with you, so to deal with the subject positvely i advise you with the following:
1- keep away from the reasons that made a past confissuion to you (updating software, installing some programs..)
2- You should convince your self that the people in care center may be obligated to repair thousands of mobiles a day
so don't go the warranty unless there is a serious problem.
3- keep a copy of your data always, like a copy of your contacts on another phone a copy of your stored music or photos
on cd's.
4- finally i want to give some advice to nokia, that nokia devices sale rate increases each day so they must increase
the people in the warranty center also the receptionist should be a technican or at least there must be one technican
to listen to any complicated problem and available for any technical advice, because i think that about 30% of the
people goes to warranty every day may have a problem with understanding there mobile options or some trivial
problems like simple viruses these problems can be solved by the customer him self and doesn't need the customer

ah im sorry if i havent checked this post for a while
after 3 days when i agreed to have the lcd replaced, i went back to pick it up since they contacted me and said that the repairs were done. when i came at the center, apparently, the technician only based his findings from the diagnosis where the counter clerk has typed in on this repair form.. when the technician tried to just do some flashing or reformatting, it worked. but before he did that, i need to get really upset and tell the technician what really happened for him to realize that its just a software update failure and could not possibly harm the lcd. so there, i paid only for the labor cost.
however, i still reported this incident to nokia cust care hotline. they should not assume or give misleading advices to custs.
