5800 - Update to v40 should be available (pc: 0576047), NSU and OTA can't find it

Nokia.com/Support/download software/can i update says:

 

Latest available software for Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, product code 0576047
Version: 40.0.005

Compare numbers
If this version is greater than your current software version, update now to get the latest features, applications and improvements

 

But neither  the Nokia Software Updater (1.8.10de) nor the Over-the-Air-Updater finds an update.

Where'sthe problem?

The Can I update? feature is not always in pace with NSU and OTA. For my 5800 0588454 it says the latest firmware is  21.0.025, but I have 31.0.008 installed by FOTA. Btw, not sure what's wrong with my product code, it's supposed to be unlocked, but still cannot get the latest firmwares.
