my version now is 04.20 and there is aviable update to 9.40

should i update it? this phone bouth frum egypt if ill update the languhe will be arabic? or english? cuse if its will be arabic i will cant change it cuse i dont understand arabic

Updates bring improvements and enhancements to the phone. Should you update?? I think the answer should be, if you have issues with the phone or if you witness any software glitches while using it then go ahead and update.

what will happen after the update depends on your phone. Phones designed for middle east region contain both Arabic and English, so you can change between them. Just go to settings menu and change the phone language to English. if for a reason or another you were sold a phone that was not originally intended for the middle east market and was modified by the seller, the phone will revert to it's original language when updated.

in Egypt such phones are all over the market. So if you've bought your phone from the local nokia dealer , it should stay the same , if you have bought it outside , there is a good chance it can be a converted phone.

seems like you have the initial firmware that came for your phone - 4.20. if you check the Nokia software update section on theier website and your product code has an update to 9.40 for it, then i suggest that you update to 9.40. firmware updates bring numerous bug fixes and new features to your phone. with regards to the language, your phone languages will remain the same after the firmware update, as there are specific languages for your product code and these will always remain the same for your countr's variant of the 5610.
