5530 software update impossible

I recently bought a 5530 and I wanted to update the software. I saw on the phone that there is a important update but I can not start the installing. I also tried this using the PC but Nokia but this also doesn't work.

Same here, all other software updates load okwhen the "start update" icon is selected, except he phone software one. Ideas anyone?

If you are trying to update firmware v11 to v20 please try to update through Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0 or latest if available. Please go to ovi.com for Nokia Ovi Suite download.

i recommend Nokia Software Updater because it's more stable

 

download the latest version:

 

http://nds1.nokia.com/files/support/global/phones/software/NokiaSoftwareUpdaterSetup_en.exe

Thanks, now updated via USB cable to Ver 11, using software updater.

Yes the ovi suite has alot of updating problems for which u need the classic nokia software updater ... it works all the way for any supported phone :smileyhappy:
