I was going to open a thread for this and I saw this one.

If I new Belle is coming soon, I wouldn't bother installing Anna but looking at the track record of Nokia we may have to wait another year for Belle.

So please release Anna already!

Your productcode belongs to a US variant and unfortunately Symbian Anna has not been released in the States yet. We're working on it and I will announce here in the forum once it is available for download.

The post contained email information that told me that Symbian Anna has been released world-wide and should be available, but they would need my IMEI information for futher information.

I sent them my IMEI number, and then they told me that my particular model was not supported yet (contradicting their earlier email which stated that the upgrade has been released world-wide).

I just wanted to point out the discrepancies in the emails.  I feel like I'm being treated as a second-class customer because I purchased a full-price non-branded Nokia N8-00 that just happened to have a product code of 059C8T6 and am not getting the released upgrade along with other Nokia customers.

Furthermore, no where in e-mail did they say that my corresponence was confidential.  Next time a mod decides to edit my post I'd appreciate them citing a rule with a corresponding link before removing it.

Ya i'm feeling the same now that for buying a full-price non-branded Nokia N8-00 Nokia is treating us as second-class customer.It's not fair.From last 20 years i was with Nokia n in return now Nokia is giving me this??It's hard for me to say but I must say that N8 will be my last Nokia phone.

Thank you Skyee for the information. However, we are losing our patience. The truth is we can't wait any longer. It was officially released on Aug 18 and how come the US variant  is still not ready.

Please give us the exact time range to expect it so that we can hold you accountable to that time. As it is now , it is too open and it can even be a whole year  before it would be released.

I already decided I can't wait anymore, and already sold my N8. Got a much better phone now, but am not going to tell Nokia what I got, other than that it is a phone where when updates comes out, it's all at the same time.

I have the same product code as you say that it is for the US but I have purchased my Nokia in Europe within the EU were I am living.. How can it be a US version?

I'll give it by the end of the month for this stupid update and nokia can kiss another customer goodbye, I see myself switching to the next I-phone.  You guys really suck in taking care of customers.  I'd wish Nokia the best of luck and start finding new customers in Mexico.  That is so genius Nokia.

I'm with you in considering switching to another phone but no telling Nokia which one, really hate not releasing Updates for all Nokias i got mine from amazon, but im not with you in what you say about Mexico im pretty sure there are more Nokia Users in Mexico than US.

I just bought a Nokia N8 and trying to update to Anna, either OTA or with PC Suite, with no success.

My product code - 059C8T6

Release- PR1.2

Software Version - 014.002

Could anyone please help.

I think you need to go to the nearest Nokia Care Center and have them update the phone for you. There might be a problem with the servers.
