Hi

I wonder if anyone can help me. I've got some videos on my phone (both MPA and 3GP) which used to play ok. All of a sudden every time i try to play one of the videos i keep getting the error message:

unable to play media clip. This happens via RP, File Manager or Videos & TV

Can anyone offer any advice to solve this problem?

Currently still on v11, which is another issue on its own. PC want allow me to update via NSU or NOS, keep getting an 'Internal Error' message so stuck on v11 unless i send my phone away for SIX DAYS while they update the firmware.

Any help would me much appreciated.

If you are willing to go through the hassle of reloading your contacts, bookmarks, email settings, internet settings, losing messages, etc.

A reset may be able to fix the problem.

*#7370# on the dial pad will initate the reset.

Thanks for the reply but i've tried the reset option about 3 times now and no joy.

I'm in the same boat. I've put on some .mp4 video files and the phone gives the same error. Again Any suggestions?

Guys, I have the same problem and I cant solve it which drives me nuts. It is totaly unfair to have a 400 gbp worth handset and not to be able to play a simple .mp4  video recorded by the same handset. So I can record, but I cant play the video after that. All the files as you probably know are ".mp4"s. That is weird isnt it ? I would bevery gratefull if somebody gives me a clue how to solve that problem.

The only thing which appears on the screen, when I try to play a video, is "Unable to play media clip"

Yes, I tried to reset and it doesnt help. Any other suggestions?

If it can't play videos taken with the onboard camera then the only option would be to take it back to a service center.

what do you mean? could you please be a bit more specific. I tried to reset and problem still exist. is it possible for you to share your product code?

Nokia sells expensive phones that do no support MPEG4 version2, only version1, this is your - and my - problem. The player on Symbian based Nokia phones only play back MPEG4 version1. This is a SHAME that Nokia does not deliver devices that can handle MPEG4 version2.

you need to google something called best video converter, it aready have optimized video format seting for Nokia phone. So, it's easy to use. I got this one few months ago, it works well for me. good luck
