I converted part of an .mp4 file into an .avi file in an attempt to see if the conversion would allow it to run on the phone.................it did but with no picture because I used the wrong codec ![]()
However, now I can't delete the file and keep getting an error message stating that the file is in use, which it is not.
I have checked through applications manager and also did a soft reboot......... still won't let me delete the file.
Has anybody else seen anything similar, does anyone have a solution please?

I too have the same issue but with a avi file that I downloaded off the internet.
The video player opens and then nothing happens, I would have to kill the player from the task manager. And the file always says it is open when I try to delete.
Any help would be appreciated.

Dude it works. You must have connected it in Ovi Suite mode (it is the default mode). Wondering why they removed the "Ask everytime" option.
Anyway, make sure you are connecting it in Mass Storage mode. Navigate to the file from your PC and delete it.
I feel like such an idiot for not noticing the Ovi Suite mode earlier
