When I open up my nokia c5-00.2 front camera there is a message "Unexpected error occurred. Restart phone." and the front camera doesn't come up. Please advise.

Hey Shashwat100,
Please backup your device using Nokia Suite and perform a hard reset using code *#7370# security code 12345 to reinstall the firmware.
If you are still experiencing problems take it to your local Nokia Care Point and they will take a look.

Hey Sheldrick,
Are you a "real" Nokia moderator i.e... a Nokia person, because I'm gonna hard reset my phone now (backing up) and I wonder if something nasty should happen then who am I gonna blame?
Otherwise I would(/can) take my phone to a Nokia Care Centre.
Is a hard reset like a "format your computer"?
If yes, how actually is it supposed to correct my hardware?
There is plenty of space in the phone's internal memory + not much apps installed but from your "Nokia Suite" recommendations - Pool and Shazam.
Please reply and help in this regard.

Hi shashwat100, Yes, Anyone with a Nokia logo tag is an official Nokia employee. Please remember to back up your device using Nokia Suite beforehand.
It is not going to correct any hardware issues (that is the next step by going to Nokia Care Point) however it will reinstall the operating system and this will remove any bugs that may be causing your camera malfunction. This will eliminate the possibility it is caused by a software malfunction.
It will restore your phone software to how it was out of the box, which is why a backup is very important.
