I can not transfer any photos or videos from my N98 8GB to my PC. I have tried using the provided software but it is just rubbish and when i try to copy and paste data in "my computer" the video files are not recognised and i cant even locate most of my photos. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP ? most of my videos and photos are of my daughter and i really need them on my pc.

when u plug in your phone to your computer, on your phone select data transfer. If an error message apears on your phone saying its unable to connect, restart your phone and plug it in again. after selecting data transfer, your phone's memory should appear as a flash drive on your computer. select images for your pictures. the pictures are in folders arranged in date order. for videos go to the videos folder. the videos are in MP4 format.

Just checking... Is your phone an "N81 8GB", "N91 8GB" or "N95 8GB"?

If it really is an "N98 8gb", then it is not a Nokia phone at all, as Nokia has no "N98 anything".

You can connect your phone to a pc without installing Nokia PC Suite..just use 'Data transfer' mode.  Set your messaging settings first to use the phone memory instead of the mass memory.
