hi,
For the longest time, i've been checking my yahoo mails on my phone thru a desktop version. Making it look exactly the same way when im using computers, however 3 days ago, it has been redirected to y! Mail mobile version, and i don't like it.
I tried 2 look for an option 2 switch 2 desktop just like google has, but i couldn't find any.
Pls help. I would love 2 check mails the way its with pc's.

Re: yahoo mail on n95

please try by basics: like go to your nokia embedded browser and type the exact url of yahoo. Do not use the bookmarked one. it will work. Another option is use opera mini which is free browser by opera for nokia and use it as usual.

thank you so much amit.. i already tried that but to no avail...i don't know why my n95-1 suddenly does that...

and cubeover thanks for your reply too... if you have a link to y! support i'll be very glad...

I was a tech support for a big internet company that deals directly with yahoo and it was so hard to reach them, that's why I am making use of this fora... now it sounded that I committed a big mistake... my apologies to you...:smileywink:

dear one
it seems ur mobile cache is having a black hole. do one thing call 2 ur country nokia call support and ask them for reset code. keep beware to backup ur whole data including sms and contacts. the customer care will give u a reset code after pressing few keys and answering few questions, mind that ur all installed softwares will also be reseted. i am damn sure that it will work

Re: yahoo mail on n95

Well its not your N95 thats doing it, it's yahoo! Yahoo detects whether you are accessing the mail site from a mobile or not and then automatically redirects you to the mobile version. Similar to MySpace, if you access www.myspace.com it would redirect you to http://m.myspace.com automatically. In short, it's a script on yahoo mail site that redirects your browser to the mobile version. I hope that makes it clear.

In any case, I tried with my N95 8GB, access http://mail.yahoo.com and that should give you the desktop version. If not, clear your cache and try again or whatever I wrote in the above para applies.
