As an intensive user of this 3 terminals and axperienced Symbian user I intend to open a thread on this matter regarding strange behaviour for top VoIP mobile apps on the web. It's about Skype offcourse and fring.
But let's start with Skype first.
On E51, E66 and E72 it works flawless withouth isssues trought WiFi. Let't see what happens with Mobile 3G connection: dropouts on all of them even if the Mobile Data plan offers enought bandwidth - how I know that? Because if I use Skype on my notebook connected via 3G from my E72 it is perfect. More than that, I can share my 3G internet via WiFi using JoikuSpot and guess what? E51 is happy and Skype works fine again with no dropouts. i cannot say the same about E66
How can one explain this? I have enough bandwith to watch an online TV or to share the conection to E51 in order to use Skype, but I get dropouts when I connect to Skype directly from E72?
Fine by now.
But what about fring and Skype together on E72? It will never work both I tell you - because of different VoIPAudioSrv versions they bring and conflict with each other. I allready checked with Fring support on that - and confirmed. You will never get this issue on E66 thought; where they can coexist with no problems.
I look forward for other users to share and maybe have better knowledge on this kind of level.
I shoud mention all the apps where up to date and the OS for the terminals too. The situation perpetuates for months - I am allready on the 3rd update on E72...
