Social app stopped working on N8

Can anyone help ? I downloaded ovi suite onto my pc from the directorie on my new N8. After this several strange things happened, the wb tv widgets disappeared from the third home screen (no big problem) but more importantly to me is the social app has stopped working.  The widget on the home screen is still there and appears to be still updating but when i touch it to open it, it does nothing..?

Any help is appreciated.

Re: Social app stopped working on N8

Hi again!

I was able to fix my Social App starting problem! But it caused me some of my settings and apps I have installed. Try this:

1. Take a backup using Ovi Suite (www.nokia.com/ovisuite). SERIOUSLY, take a backup!!!

2. Remove memory card

3. On your phone screen, press "Call"

4. Type *#7370#

5. Press "Yes"

6. Phone will now erase the whole phone memory and return it to the state it was when leaving from factory. This will take some time so just wait patiently

7. After phone has been erased, restore backup but leave Settings&Apss out

8. Restart your phone

9. Use Ovi Suite the install latest updates to your phone

10. Install all missing apps from Ovi Store

11. Modify settings as you like

I hope this helps.
