I upgraded to Belle last night on my N8. It went smoothly but a lot of my apps disappeared, including Nokia sleeping screen. (which is the one I'm most missing so far)

I re-installed the latest version of sleeping screen (1.3) from the Nokia Store, but when I go into screensavers to try to activate it, all that happens when I cllick on if, is the loading animation pops up for 1/10 of a second, and then nothing, the seletion tick statys next to the previouos screensaver.  If I long tap it to get the popup window, nothing happens when I select settings, and when I select preview I just get a blank screen.

Is there anything I can do to try and fix this? I'm not completely averse to doing a full factory reset, but for obvious reasons would rather leave that as an option of last resort.  I've already tried the old siwtching off and on routine...

any help greatly appreciated! :-)

I had to download the Nokia sleeping screen too, but mine is working ok straight in. Is it worth you trying another download?

third time not lucky, uninstalled, downloaded re-installed. Same problem

Silly question perhaps, but have you restarted the phone? Can't remember if it was Sleeping Screen or Bubbles which required that.

P.S. Just installed and it's working for me![I set the options in Settings>Themes>Screensaver then restarted - not sure if it would've worked anyway as didn't try]

yup, tried restarted at various points - after un-install, after re-install etc.

Gave in and did a factory reset, sleeping screen is working now :-)

is sleeping screen the screensaver, where I could have different pictures from my gallery showing up?

just asking as I think this is what I need, cos I have lost this since doing the Nokia Belle update grrrr

I do wish Nokia would stop trying to compete with the 'dark side' and just do what they do best

And can I get this sleeping screen from the usual Nokia store/Ovi/whatever it's called now
