Hello,

Anybody tried Nokia Conversation on N97? Does it work?

If so, which version did you use? Obviously, there is no version available for N97. Do you think if I install the one for N96 (For 3rd Ed. F2), would I mess up the phone or would it work?

I was just wondering if anybody got it to work.

nope i do not belive that there is supporting version for your phone. you might want to consider ovi contacts as it is i believe fairly similar and it is compatible with your phone.

Thanx for the response. Do you use "Ovi Contacts"? Does it run smooth on N97? Is the messaging in Ovi Contacts "similar" to "Conversations? (Have you ever used Conversations before?)

Is it OK if I send a message to other party that has no "ovi contacts?"

it's ok but i would wait for nokia to release v12 firmware hopefully to address further the issue of c memory management. ovi contacts unfortunately only installs on c drive. i had it for a moment, but it was a chore to run as it runs off c memory. the program is good and has potential, hopefully one day it will install on e drive instead and then you don't have to worry about it.

got the 3.2 version running for about 5 seconds, then said contacts feature not supported, but it did work for a moment..

Nope, none of them work, only 3.2 comes up in contacts, and only for a couple of seconds before feature not supported...

check and see if you have the ovi contacts app in your phone via menu- applications- software update 

that is where my ngage and ovi contacts are for me to update/download if i chose to try that and see if it works at all

Ovi contacts really isn't what you need. It's a kind of waste your time/attempt by nokia to get you to get all your friends to buy nokia phones.

Isms is what you want but its flakey and I can't get it instal with V20.
