Many apps do not support touch screens

A common issue is menus which are too long, so scroll bars appear, but scrolling the menu triggers the first menu item you touched... Joikuspot is the worst I have, despite the Nokia 700 being specified as compatible. Is this just another symptom of Symbian app development having de facto ceased 2-3 years ago?
