On my e71x i am trying to download apps from the ovi store but it keeps on telling me i need the mobile ovi store application.  I have downloaded this and it shows up in my application manager, but there is no way to access it or start it up.  Is there a way to access the ovi store or applications on the e71x or on my computer and then transfer them? if so please give detailed instruction

There should be an OVI store icon in Installations and Download! Did you reset the phone 1)  *#7780# 12345 restore factory settings, keep data 2)  *#7370# 12345 reformat, lose all data. Update the phone software with Nokia Software updater.

there is no installations or download! section for the nokia e71x, is there a way to download these things to my comp and then install them using pc suite? if so could you point me in the right direction?

Oops, my mistake, I forgot that your phone is branded. I looked at the manual and the map on your phone is called My Stuff.

You can download apps like .sis and Java (.jar) to your PC and install with PCSuite application installer. These links might be interesting.

I am also using a e71x and having the same problem. The installed ovi store app is not in "My stuff" or in "Games and Apps".  What do Id o?

I had the same problem with my e71x but I downloaded the Ovi store from a different site and now it works...

I just tried this, but it tells me that the Ovi Store is not available for Java(J2ME)??

Any ideas?

No, not for java. But the installer I saw is a .sisx file. That should work fine on your E71x.

Thanks! You are the man!. It worked by dowloading and using the PC Suite.

Now if I can just change the default browser to Opera or Skyfire intead of AT&T lousy Media Net??

initially all the apps installed correctly.  now most apps are not installing.  It downlaods the app, says installing and then I get an installation failed!

Any ideas on how to fix this?

          Is there any problem if we directly download any application to the phone directly..?? coz i tried many times it says "file corrupted" or "invalid file" or "not supported".. i always check whether its a S60 3rd edition software as i'm having nokia E71.. if anyone has solution plz help..
