Cannot install certain software on N96

I'm trying to install two programs which appear in Nokia Downloads for my N96, WeatherBug and Financial Director. However i'm unable to do this. The programs are .wgz files and not the .sis files that i'm used to. Does anybody know how I can put these on my phone?

I've tried changing the the file types to .sis but have had no luck with this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Cannot install certain software on N96

.wgz files are web runtime applications (mainly HTML and JavaScript and images) and the .wgz file

is really just a .zip file with a different name. Web runtime (or WRT) applications are installed just like

.jar or .sis/.sisx applications.

When you say "unable to do", what exactly happens? Any particular error message that's shown?

Re: Cannot install certain software on N96

I've downloaded the files from Nokia download and i'm then prompted to finish the installation on my phone. However, nothing happens. There is no alert on my phone asking me to install the applications. Also when i've used the Nokia Software Installation included in Nokia PC Suite it doesn't even find the .wgz files.

What if you copy it to the phone as-is and then use the phone's File Manager to launch the installation?
