Hello eryone,

Can any one guide me how to connect my 701 to PC via WiFi ? mind it that not via Bluetooth,

Also can I access the internet connection in PC to mobile via Wi Fi? If possible please do guide me ASAP

As i have laptop with WiFi and my mobile is also Wi fi enabled so logically it should be possible.

Hello Balaji,
I recommend you use an app called Dukto to send files between your phone and your pc over wifi:

If you don't have WLAN (i.e. wireless network), then set up an ad-hoc network on your pc (google it), on which you connect your mobile phone.

Is your PC connected to the internet through a LAN cable, or through wireless?

In any case, it is possible to share internet through an ad-hoc network.

It shows how to share LAN internet through wireless.

hey, use connectify to make a wifi hotspot via ur laptop,n u'll be able 2 use ur inter net on phone,..for file transfer just use ducto with connectify...google n u'll know d rest..

I also got a lumia 800, 3 days back.

i tried all the tricks in the book to connect my lumia fone to the the ad-hoc network created from my pc.(connectify,virtual router, manual network) however the fone is unable to discover the network at all and after all the searching, it shows no network found. it is amusing that a less powerful symbian fone from nokia is able to work well on the ad-hoc network.

When i took the fone to the dealer (Croma in Mulund, Mumbai) they were unable to address this problem.

I would like to know, whether Its  a general flaw in the Lumia series( window 7.5) or some problem with my handset in particular.

Please let me know since i wont mind replacing it soon for the very reason.

Connectify Solves this issue for me

I can now connect my Lumia 800 to wifi hotspot using Connectify Lite 3.2.0 (Google it)
