Synchronise problem

What version of Windows is being used?
- I am using Windows Vista Ultimate x64
What Service Pack is installed?
- All updates have been installed
What version of PC Suite is installed?
- Newest version
What is the connection method, cable, bluetooth or IR?
- Cable connection method.

hi, i'm having trouble with my brand new N73 and synchronise with MS Outlook 2007. PC Suite have been installed correctly and it also says it has been connected properly with the phone.

I can do several things with pc-suite, like installing programs and transporting files from pc-n73 or otherwise.

The problems are as follow:
- First, I cannot update the firmware with the update software provided by nokia, as I want to update the software says the phone is disconnected. But he is!
- Second and the most important one, I cannot synchronise with my MS Outlook 2007 (calendar and contacts), since I'm having a smart phone because of it's business functionality I'm very disappointed at this one, because I cannot work without phone and agenda.

The thing is that under Windows XP the phone perfectly synchronises with MS Outlook 2007 en it perfectly updates the firmware of the phone. So therefore I know it's a problem with Vista. If I knew this was a problem I probably didn't buy a N73, because my previous experiences with Nokia also weren't great.

I truly hope that someone gives me a solution. I think more people have the same problems as I do.

You didn't write what kind of problems you have with synchronisation: connection does not work, some events does not synchronise...

ow..oke.

Well the problem is, I can only set up which phone to synchronise with what kind of connection, but when I push another button on the synchronisation menu, for example the 'synchronise'-button, nothing happens. No alert, no screen, no feedback at all! And no synchronisation. That's the case, hope someone knows an answer, I'd really like to know wether there are more people with the same problems I have.

Select Settings. Run wizard and select correct ones. Does this help?

no, I, in this menu from the PC-suite, I can only set up which phone to synchronise and which connection-type it uses.

But it's not only a problem in the synchronisation I think, because updating the phone via Vista doesn't work either.

i have the same problem and with vista, its not just the phone i had the 5500 sport and n93 and have exactly same problem with both, aslo can not view contacts from computer

I have a dutch version of Windows Vista, so also a dutch PC SUITE. Hope you can find out what the problem is.

PC Sync stores settings data to folder C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Nokia\PCSync. Delete all information under that folder. After this retry creating PC Sync settings.

it doesnt work, and it's not only the problem with synchronising but also with updating the firmware of the phone.

i tried to search for the driver on my computer and found a driver, i installed it and there where no further problems with the drivers. Unfortunately synchronising the phone or updating the fimrware aint possible yet.

Hello, I got the same problem, can do everything but synchronise...

As of the 4th of July, 2007, a new version of PC Suite (6.84) has been released on the Nokia website (www.nokia.com/pcsuite). Can you try with this latest version to see if there is any improvement?
