The latest version of Nokia PC Suite ver 7.1.30.9 does not restore my SMS Folders from a previous backup.

Only the inbox gets restored.

 

This function worked properly before I performed a PC Suite Update.

Hi,

Could you please provide more information about your phone and PC.

Phone :- Dial *#0000# on your phone and press call key
PC :- Operating system details(Xp/Vista/Windows 7)
Service Pack (1/2/3)
Bits(32/64)
Connectivity :-
USB Cable / Bluetooth or Infra Red.
IF BT, complete stack information
PC SUite :-
Nokia PC Suite/OVI Suite/NSeries PC Suite

I tried both Nokia PC Suite, the latest version as of today and Ovi Suite 2.0 beta.

The problem applies to a Nokia N97 firmware v11 on Windows Vista 64bit using USB connection.

 

edit: I tried on older version of PC Suite on Windows XP 32bit machine.

Again the same results. The SMS subfolders are not restored on the N97.

 

It should be a N97 related bug.
