Hi I have just received N73 phone and tried to unsucessfully pc suite software from disc that came with it...unsucessfully. I updated windows I run XP Home with latest service pack upgrade I deleted all files I could find relating to nokia and uninstalled from add remove porograms I have run registry mechanic and The Nokia cleaning software. I have downloaded the latest 6.83 software from the Nokia website this always gets stuck and hangs on the cable driver installation at 21% complete. I have now wasted an entire day on this and am extremly unhappy with this software as I have seen that I am not alone in experiencing problems with this software. I have not experienced this kind of issue with any software in the decade that I have been using computers... I feel better hving got that off my chest can anyone help?

If you are trying to uninstall Nokia PC Suite you may find core application uninstalls but cable driver portion remains

You perhaps need to go to microsoft.com and download Windows Installer Cleanip Utility "msicuu2.exe"

Go to Start > Programs > Windows Installer Cleanup Utility
When you run this it looks a bit like the add/remove program window. Now select "Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver" and "PC Connectivity Solution" programs.

Now go back to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel and try and remove "Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver" and the "PC Connectivity Solution" programs. They should now uninstall.

Reboot your PC

If you read this forum, you can find two root causes of similar problem.
1. Roxio burning SW is taking 100% of system resources --> kill that process so installation will continue.
2. Disconnect network cable before installing PC Suite.
