Same as Hans, I am also facing the same issue, after I have moved to the version 7.0.8.2 (all other tech details at the bottom)
With earlier versions it was working perfectly fine.
For my GPRS provider, the dialing number is DIFFERENT from *99*#. Looks like the PC Suit is not able to dial to the number stored in the settings of device's dial up connection in the 'Network Connections'.
I use bluetooth to connect. If I connect through 'My bluetooth places', it gets connected successfully.
